Question Need Help..Which Terminal to Disconnect??

Ok tomorrow morning i'm gonna install these new cyber white lights on the bottom of my bumper, everything is good-everything is gonna be real sleek also. The instructions say to only disconnect the negative (-) side only. The kit calls for me only attaching (ie loosening + and slipping on power to new lights) the power wire, then of coarse getting a good ground with the supplied wires. Now, do i have to disconnect it?? Will there be any chance of damage to ANYTHING if i simply loosen the + terminal and slip on the power wire to the lights?? On the + terminal i have the power wire to my subwoofers amp, thats it-no other accessories.
