Question dodge code i d 's

I have 98 ram w/ 5.9 and auto trans . it seems to me that the trans is in too high of gear when I try to take off from a dead stop. today I took it too auto zone for a code reading ,it posted 3
P1282- excessive injection control pressure
P1762 - overdrive band failed off
p1763- they had no definition for this one
I need some help to help me with these codes , and is it something I could fix my self w/ the right parts.

A mechanic can. That's pretty involved.

Re: dodge code i d 's

Thats a pretty common issue with 98 and 99 46re's. The govenor pressure sensor itself is usually the fault. Its not really that hard to replace but it depends on how much trans work scares you. The sensor isn't all that expensive and 300 bucks total should get you properly diagnosed and repaired at a dealer.

Thanks for the info. Is the part located inside the trans?

Yes, its attached to the govenor body in which is bolted to the valve body. It is replaceable without removing the valve body. It's basically a trans service plus 6 bolts and removal.
