Engine won't rotate, just stoppped one day and now It seems locked up. What usually keeps a engine from turning. It does nothing when u turn the key. Something internal I'm sure, but where to start looking, head?

Re: help! whats wrong

Why are you jumping to say that it's something internal. It could be something as simple as your starter or ignition switch or fuse. If there is more info you're leaving out, it is not helping us help you.

Forgot to mention that I tried rotating the engine at the crank pulley, it turns a little then stops.

yeah its not in gear, I had a weird rattle at high rpms in the head and one day my car just quit, checked everything externally, but figured maybe something broke inside the head jambing the engine?

Re: help! whats wrong

Try taking ur spk plugs out and then turning the motor over, one of ur injectors may have failed and hydralocked the motor, happened to a friend of mine a couple weeks back!

Are you sure that it just stops?, cause don't forget that the engine have compression and it will make your crank pulley gets harder to move.

Yeah I know the engine has a compression stroke, but I turned a few motors by hand and the compression side is not that hard to turn, plus I marked the cam gears and hit the ignition and they turned until they got to about 3/4 the of the way around, then I hit the switch more and the gears won't move! It's pissing me off!
