Just got a used 1997 Chevy Blazer, when you first drive it acceleration is nice and smooth after about five minutes it feels like something is clogged or blocked. Acceleration is sluggish, the oil pressure gauge starts to rise and the RPM starts to rise, when I let off the gas and redo it the car kinda of sputters a bit and it's fine. Only seems to occur below 40 MPH. I plan on taking it to the mechanic on Wednesday and clues as to if it is a sensor or just needs a good tune up? It was only owned by one owner was routinely serviced and has 90K miles on it.
Thanks

Re: 1997 Blazer Acceleration Sluggish
Hold on, before you start just throwing sensors at it understand this:
1.) You need to do a full tuneup. Cap & Rotor, Wires, plugs, air filter, fuel filter. 2.) Oil pressure will rise with rpms. Do the tuneup first and work from there. |
