my 1/4 mile time

i ran a [email protected], my 0-60 foot time was 1.830, I am launching my car at 6,000rpm.

Only mods i have done is 3 inch exhaust turbo back, ractive filter, 1g BOV, modified my upper intercooler piping for better flow and lower, and all the free mods yo can do. I do not have a boost control or gauge yet. I am working on them tho. Oh and this is on the stock turbo.T-25

I can get my step fathers camera and take a pic of my slips if any of you for some reason do not believe my time.

Re: my 1/4 mile time

Actually that sounds about right.

Hell about 10 years back I ran a 13.1@100 with my 1992 TSI, mods were ONLY the following:

$3 fish tank valve.
$3 worth of vacuum lines.
$25 boost gauge (stock one is 100% usless)
$15 set NGK 1 step colder plugs
$45 K&N
$8 1 step cooler thermostat

Performed freebies:
block the EGR
Block TB coolant lines
Bump timing 4 degrees
Remove MAF lower honeycomb/star silencer
Hack off the air can horn/ cut open bottom of can.
remove boost control solinoid
If you have fog lights, remove the one blocking the I/C
Trim bigger holes in back of splash guard to allow I/C to have airflow over it

Now: install & dial in 17 psi with fishtank valve, run 93 octane gas. Good for 13.5's, lower yet if you run race gas, I ran a 13.1@100. My cost, less than $100.

Re: my 1/4 mile time

1.8 60' on stock clutch is pretty damn good! How were you launching? Did you just slip the clutch out really fast from 6k? I usually launch at 5k/5.5k and slip it out fast and it feels pretty damn good, but I haven't been to the track to get my times yet.

After I get my exhaust on tomorrow, I'll have the same upgrades as you, plus a MBC and boost gauge. I only hope I can reach that kind of time when I go to the track! Nice job man!

Re: my 1/4 mile time

actually i have run my car about 20 times now and 13.9 is my best so far, usually 14.0 consistant, um i usually hold my rpms about 3k and when the tree starts i jump the rpms up to 6k and dump the clutch, i dont slip it and my stock clutch is fine so far lol. Oh i forgot to tell you all, well since you see my 6k launch its obviuos lol i am AWD. I am going back to the track tuesday night and i am going to try to get my friends video camera to tape and post it for you all that would like to see it. I was running 14.4 consistant until i started playing with my shift points and got to 13.9 so far. Thanx for the replies guys i will keep you up dated. Gonna have my MBC and gauge the end of the month.
