Re: R33 Front End Conversion

I dont like the wheels or the rear of the rocker extensions..but that's not a bad looking car.

who the f**K cares what the badging is? Since cars have been out people have swapped badging/removed it. I see at least one Honda, Mits, and FORD with GTR emblems on them daily. There is also a Kia running around with GTR, type R, and a few other badges on it with a guy driving the thing that is probably laughing his as$ off each time someone gets their panties in a bunch over it.

I really like the silvia set of emblems....I'd love to replace the S with a Å symbol though I actually may get some aluminum, resin and break out my dremel + the local CNC guys help to make the Å and cut the outer 'shield' shape perfect. Then just fill with black resin and clearcoat it all....slap a piece of 3M double sided tape on the back and call it a day. I will almost definitely do this when I repaint in a couple years so I can fill in the nissan pin holes at that time.

I think that was the car I saw last year at Nopi nats

looks like ASS

i didn't make it to nopi this year, but last year it was a pretty good 240sx turn out. atleast a dozen or more, a couple KA-T's mostly SR20's, there was one nice Sil-80 with 96 type circle tail lights, wangan wing, and a silvia aero bumper....pimpness

the best part of it was the car was no show car, it was a daily driver, had shitty paint, DIY body conversion it looked like..but thats what gives it character. I don't like seeing spotless 240sx showcars.

ummmm am I missing something here, you go to a car show (albeit NOPI no less) and are expecting busted up ghetto rides?

jesus.

nope, but almost

I goto a car show like that for fun and the road trip. Cause it was fun driving an Impala SS up there all night for 500 miles just cruising up I-75...

I would much rather look at that busted up ghetto lookin street driven sil80 then look at some flawless candy color paint job on some civic with a body kit, neons, and some 16" chrome wheels...

thats just me though

Yeah...I think it is just you...well not a civic cause that's nasty shit, but a 240 with a nice plaintjob is better then a rusted out scratched and shitted on 240. If anyone would not take care of their 240 then they shouldn't have one, they don't deserve it. Let your civic rust away, see if I care, but not your 240!!!

Hmmm I have, still nothing special...it's a nice cruising car, but not a 740iL. There are always a few at the test and tune night here sporting their sub 14 sec 1/4 miles....the GS300/400's like to hand them their asses though but I digress.

Hell of a lot more car than a 240sx?!? and you have a handle with SR20DETPOWER? I am 'sure' you are talking the slalom right? autox? top speed potential? braking? short comings?

Oh I forgot you like your 'show' cars with curb rash and dings, a little more closer to home.

I see a blue light flashing in the aisle.

Why are you even here?

dude you have obviously never driven an impala SS...

they handle better then a 240sx I think, and their lateral g spec's are the same stock... .88g's

you have either never driven a 240sx or an Impala SS.....

If you have driven a 240sx.. a 240sx is a lil more agile in slow speed manuevers(10mph hard corners on the throttle hard) but the Impala is MUCH more stable at higher speeds.. and it does 155mph like its going 40mph.

If you have never driven an impala ss .......welp then you should know the brakes aren't the best on a 240sx, not the worst I've ever felt before though, the Impala's brakes totally own the 240sx's brakes, especially during high speed stops. you can stand on that thing at 155mph and you will probably shit yourself if your riding bitch and comming up on some cars stopped, cause you will think no way this heavy ass car is going to stop in time, but it does easily.... I will give the impala has bigger and better tires then a 240sx stock for stock, but the 240sx is only 1800 lbs lighter...

if you've taken a 240sx to its limits and an impala ss to its limites, i see no possible way that u think the 240sx is superior... oh and a 740IL is a piece of shit compared to a decent Impala ss.... no possible chance of that car beating it in any category

PS OMG LEXUS GS 300's and 400's ARE FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT! AN IMPALA IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL, IT ACTUALLY HAS SOME SPORTINESS COMPARED TO THOSE OTHER CRUISERS, MAINLY FROM ITS POLICE CAR BACKGROUND.
