99 GTP lacking power

Hello

I have a 99 gtp and it seems to be lacking power. I bought it used with 80k on it and the engine runs fine no codes no hesitation everything seems normal except the power. If i start from a complete stop turn of the trac control and floor it it wont break the tires loose they wont even squeal. My buddy has a stock 2000 gtp and his will roast them with no problem. My car is stock also stock and i just replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter, pcv valve, and air cleaner. transmission also shifts fine. One thing i did notice on my buddys gtp is that if i rev it to 3500 real quick in neutral it wil show a little boost on the guage mine does not do this. But it will register if im already moving and floor it, but doesnt go all the way to full boost. My buddies does. Could this be a boost control valve problem? If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it.

Might try doing the boost control mod and see if that helps pick it up a bit more, might be that the factory set it off a bit.The link is dead now but when it comes back up I will post it ....~Larry~

Re: 99 GTP lacking power

Big-L,
How did you become a member of the Detroit GP Club? I wrote them and they told me you have to live in the area. How did you pull that off?
