muffler sucking
my 95 rodeo motor is 2.6 and had 100k mile on it. and the problem is it make black smoke out of muffler and i put my hand near the end of muffler tip and it suck in sometime any idea what the problem is> is it the valve??? do i need to tell more?

Black smoke is unburnt fuel. A sucking from the muffler sounds like the exhaust valve is either stuck open, burnt, or carbon build up. May be a good idea to have the valves checked. A 2.6 is a 4 or 6 cylinder? A leak down test would tell you which valve is the problem. I would revalve the engine.

yeah, so i have to measure and revalve the valve, and i got to go buy the book for it too. one more thing do that cause "check engine" light come on?? or does it have nothing to do with that just for others??

It could possibly set a SES light. Possibly the oxygen sensor if air is being pulled into the engine.
