yeah, you need a tee piece for the oil pressure switch, then you can attach the sender unit.

You need a special T.
The OEM threads are 1/8 BSPT. The gauge sending unit will be 1/8 NPT. They are not compatible. Some people just cross thread them, but I wouldn't recommend it. You need a T with a male 1/8 BSPT fitting on one end and a female 1/8 BSPT fitting on the other end. At a 90 degree angle to this, you need a female 1/8 NPT hole for the sending unit. So far nobody makes them. You might be able to assemble one if you can find someone with some patience at a shop who is willing to help you. It won't be easy.

You should be able to get any reptuable machine shop to frabicate this for you. The trick is to find those BSPT taps and dies to make it with. Pricing around they will run about $30-$150 for the set USD. Most places that carry them are in europe but you can try www.tapsdirect.com I know they carry the tap but it doesnt show any dies online. Once you have those, making it isnt a problem. Although its quite a lot for just a connector. If there is enough demand for this, I could make them....
Added: Just got an email from www.mdmetric.com out of MD. Here is a price for the tap and die 1/8" BSPT tap $15.96 each 1/8" BSPT die $43.42 each delivery: 1 wk Added More: Good god! Just went to their site with that link, here is a direct link -http://mdmetric.com/britcut.htm -

Yup it's a lot harder than you think.
I'm going to be hooking up my oil gauge this weekend. It's been on my a-pillar for about a year and a half. I think I have everything I need. I'll take some pics and post them here. You'll have to find your own parts however. Took me a hella long time. I don't even know if they will work either. |

He is using some AN fittings with adapters. Not exactly cheap. I am hoping to offer some of these adapters for sale later this year, but I have to find a shop to work with. I already have one. A friend made it for me. Don't ask if my friend has any more or can make any more. Too late. Long gone.

My car came standard with an oil pressure gauge. (see pic). So perhaps there exists an OEM Nissan part (the T piece) which could solve this with minor modification.

OK, I have several items I need to have produced. ![]() I will have to get you some drawings. I don't know how to use Auto CAD or any of the other CAD packages, so they will likely be draw on paper the old fashioned way. However, if the cost changes by supplying a CAD drawing, I guess I could learn. I have a number of items that would be relatively low volume production, probably in runs anywhere from 5 to 20 per run (depending upon the particular product). I'm looking for a shop that is interested in work to fill idle machine/operator capacity (read low rates ). As such I can be flexible on delivery so you are able to fit it into idle time.Still interested?
