destroyed a 3rd gen eclipse

i was coming back from my other job last night and on my way to a bar that all my friends are drinking at. it is around 2 a.m. in the morning and as i got off the highway i see this black 00-04 eclipse with 18 inch chrome wheels. he had a AEM sticker on the back window and i'm thinking hmmm i wonder if he wants to run. so we both were at a light with a long straight with no one in front for about a 1/4 mile. he looks over to my car and sees me. light turns green and i just take off normally, i shifted to at 2500rpm like i would normally do and i stay there . well the guy decides to floor it so i floor it at well. initially it was about even becasue my car off boost was equal to his car being floored. once boost hits in 2nd gear i began to pull on him like crazy. by the time i hit around 80mph in third i was bus lenghts ahead of him.

this makes me wonder if he was a v6 or not. i highly doubt it because if they are then they are really freaking slow. i also didn't hear his AEM intake so that sticker was probrably for something random. and i didn't hear his car peel whcih means hes probrably a auto. oh wellz. he didn't know i was turboed anyways cuase i had all my gauges hidden. he probrably found out when i blew off after i past him.

now i wish i would've payed more close attention to the rear badge on his car. and i'm sure if i went all the way to 100mph i would be soo far ahead i wouldn't even be able to keep count of how many bus lenghts i put on him. and at the next light he turned to some side street behind me. lolz

My dad has a 03 eclipse v6 5 speed and it is pretty quick. btw good kill.

nice story...
i was crusing the interstate the other night when i came upon a
sweet eclipse...i blinked my lights at him and automaticly he sped up...
got on my side (mind you,were already going about 70mph)
and we sot off!...weaving thru cars around us...
once we got back together,he got in front of me and blinked HIS
lights...then he darted off...this guy had an AEM setup too.
and his car looked as if he was a true racer!(no expensive sound system,no unessesary stuff)...just turbo, intake,exhaust,lowering,
wheels and tires....and some decals and angel eyes for style.
now that is what i call a racer.
so im'a only do the same with my ride...
no catoon looking car with all style and no speed (know what i mean?)
us racers gotta be raw! just like japan!....check out the wangan
expressway...raw racing...japan style....thats why i do my racing on
the interstate (i-95)....
if you see a sweet ride on the interstate about 11:00pm...
approch it...and blink those lights...if there down....youre in for the
tightest race ever!...mine was so long, that we actually went outta
state...totally not paying attention to my exit....

Hmmm... weaving through traffic doesn't sound like a very good idea to me...

yes i am also on importfanatix.com i'm S14_tat on there and yes i am also from nyc.

also i do not doubt that V6 eclipse in stick form is quick. however that was definitly not stick so i question which model it is. be reguardless i should still kill a v6 eclipse stick by around 8-10 cars by 100mph. but this car was beaten by that many car lenghts by just 80mph. if i had another 20mph i would've destroyed him by another 5-6 cars since i pull harder up top as he was getting smaller and smaller at a quicker rate cause his pull died out after 60 mph period.

) lolz nice kill man.. probably was a 4clyd..poser..well still not a bad way to waste some gass.. but leave the slower cars for me.. lolz ne way go race a supra or something..

i belive he destroyed a gs-t 95 shape one day.. nicely modded one.. but you have to ask tat about that 1

hey, i drive a gt v6 eclipse, 5 speed with an AEM cai, its got pretty good power and pickup, and is pretty quick....if it was a 4 cylinder one though and youve got 232 hp to the ground, not only would you beat me by alot, you should of just anhiliated him, it probably looked like he was going in reverse, they are slow as balls

hahah exactly. plus he got 18 inch chrome wheels which hurts it big time. i did race a GS-T with a intake and boost restrictor removed. however he was only making 13 psi. his strongest 2 gears were even with my weakest 2 gears, which is 1st and 2nd. once i hit 3rd i pulled like 5 cars on him.

Nice Kill man, and I think he would put up fairly well with a nicely modded dsm...VR4...dunno. I would like to watch though.

i do not have recent pics of it. however i really think i should take a pic of it after i wash the car. lolz it looks pretty different from what the other guys in the forum saw a few months back. the only person here that has seen my car in person is turbo2nr. pm me and i'll take a pic of my car and send it to your email.
