Bristol Fighter
British auto maker Bristol Cars usually offer cars that are rare alternatives to Bentleys and Rolls Royces. The Bristol Fighter, however, is a 200+mph supercar that is set to be unleashed onto the motoring world later this year. The Fighter has been in development for well over 2 years now. The Fighter, an odd-looking curvy vehicle will be powered by a Chrysler 8l V10 Viper engine tuned to 525bhp and 550lbft@3500RPM. When the car nears its top speed the ram effect takes the power to 550bhp. Target power to weight ratio is a staggering 440bhp/ton, which should be achieved as no expense is spared in manufacturing this car. Dimensions are nearly the same as those of a 911 (current model, 996). The car will cost upwards of £200,000 and only 12 a year will be built. My neighbour has an old Bristol Brigand, which is a very cool car, real classic, and im lucky enough to live 2 mins away from the Bristol showroom which has a few cars on display. There had been (and there still is) a small scale Fighter model on show there for years and i never thought they'd get round to building it, so im pleasantly surprised. Here are the links

I've heard of Bristols and their new supercar. But the originals (current) ones are neat in their own way. Big American engines thrusting them along, a neat alternative to Bentley. They have one of the most loyal followings, too. I would go for the Bentley, but these cars have me intrigued. Maybe I'll buy one someday

Because Bentleys are obviously much more famous than Bristol's, Bristol's are more exclusive and IMO much cooler. I agree that theyre not for everyone, but those cars have serious attitude and arent as pompous as Bentleys or Rolls. I'd take one anyday.
