99 Accord HELP!!!!!! Put in new Alternator...
ok, so I changed my alternator and it only took 4 days. Only reason it took so long was I had to walk 2 hours to get stuff I didnt have and then that 10mm bolt that holds the wire on the back was put on so tight I couldnt remove it. Sprayed PB buster and my socket set just rounded off the corners. Walked 2 hours, got a hack saw and sawed that nut right off. 15 mins putting it back together.
NOW.....I got it running, no warning lights..however the power steering fluid just exploded out the resevior. Cleaned it up...made sure the lid was on tight...started the car up again....tried turning the wheels and it made this gawd awful sound like something was rubbing. Im a noob with cars....so I dont have the slightest clue what to do next. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks KingSix |

Re: 99 Accord HELP!!!!!! Put in new Alternator...
well...u said the p/s fluid exploded out of the resevior. did you by chance forget to refill it back up. if it is low on fluid....and you turn you wheel....the could be the reason it's making that sound. if it is making a screetching sound....it may be that you have tighten the belts to much. make sure all the belts are tighten to the proper tension.

Make sure you only refill with 'Honda' ps fluid.
