Thinking thinking, need some advice.

Hey guys, Im new here, 15, and ready to get a car for when im 16.

Im looking at 3 cars...

This one... It's stock, low KM's, cheap and I can have a few thousand spare for a sound system and exhaust.

This one, or similar Tegs. I like the looks of them but they are higher insruance and not as easy on gas. As well, this car will use ALL my money.

http://www.canadatrader.com/trader/r...=1&vid=1762701

This one. Powerful, light and a very nice car, but over my budget. Worth saving for and not having a soundsystem? I wont be racing, just daily driving and I need a good sounding car for sure.

Im thinking the first one, because then I can put a nice sound system and have money to spare for fun parts like nice floormats, rims, or any other parts.

What are your opinions? Blow my money on the SI with the SIR and have no soundsystem, or, get the other one and have thousands to spare, OR get an integra?

Re: Thinking thinking, need some advice.

well the 4th gen you are looking at is a dx. You'd have to wire over to mpfi to see any real gains from any mods you do.

Personally, I would go with the 5th gen. Or instead of using the extra money you have for a sound system get a motor for the 4th gen. That would be even better.

Get a Yugo, it will solve all your problems.

Go with the 4th gen, leave the motor as is, throw some speakers into it and rattle your way into bliss.

I like the small compact but sleek look of that cheap 5000 dollar one, and its on its first owner.

What do you mean "convert".

I would get:

2 10 inch alpine subs (type-r)
Deck
Amp
nice box
midrange speakers

That system would be awsome quality with the pound of a million cows (lol).

I think what i like about that certian one is that its virgin (on its first owner and lower milage for an older car like that).

I dont need power, I couldnt really use it anyways, 92 HP or w/e would be plenty.

What about rims/tires, if a guy wanted them where does he find them and could it fit in my "extra" money? Prices please for 5-7 spokes?

Good point, but I've heard those subs on certian amps/decks and its AWSOME, I will be getting names to be precise, but I know what I want and how I like it.

Good question though.

What about that DX, 102 hp, good deal if its good shape? 4000-4500 CDN?

Re: Thinking thinking, need some advice.

I dont know the current exchange rate, but I wouldnt give more than 2000 USD for a DX unless it had a swap and was fixed up nice.

2000 USD = 2600 CDN

They want 4500...

Cars are cheap in the US.

Re: Thinking thinking, need some advice.

I would go at the Integra nice car my g/f has one im fixing automatic but still pretty nice.Or the hatch but check that thing out first see if it has all the right stuff make sure that thing is done right no mistakes no homemade b/s cause if not you will sinkk alot of money in it..But on the other hand a car like that civic dx would be nice cause you can build it yourself and know it dont have any problems. The integras are actually good on gas.Just keep your oil changes every 2or3 thousand miles and keep them well maintained you will be fine..As for audiosystems it dont take much to have a loud one i just sold my cousin 2 square pheonix digital, built him a box and a audiobahn 800watt amp plus amp kit for $450.00 and hes hitting around 150 decible and up but thats out of my wholesale audio books...good luck..

Re: Thinking thinking, need some advice.

Teg is dumb, 92 Si is alright, but get the 4th gen because they're cooler. Drop it, swap it, and throw a stereo in it for that much. Have a faster and more original ride.
