Dodge Stratus une-up

How long does it take to tune up a 2.4 L Stratus? What is the best way to remove the plug wires without causing damage to them? Why are the plugs so hard to find?

Re: Dodge Stratus une-up

maybe 30min to an hour. just pull off the spark plug wires. just get a good grip and pull, they pop off. you should be able to find replacement spark plug wires at any automotive store like checkers, auto zone, pep boys, napa. and make sure the motor is cool before you remove the spark plugs and put new ones in.

Re: Dodge Stratus une-up

your car has aluminum cylinder heads, so when you put the new plugs in, coat the threads of the new plugs with some anti-seize compound, it will prevent the threads from seizing themselves inside of the head. If not, next time you try to replace your plugs, you'll end up pulling the threads out with you as you replace the plugs.
