Re: vER.3 NATIONAL TOURNMENT

yeah from what it sounds like its not really a national tournament, its more like they are holding tournaments nationally. various namco arcades are doing this and from what i've heard some of them have already finished up.

Re: vER.3 NATIONAL TOURNMENT

that is way to big, they'd never do that... it'd get more publicity if they did so and the prize would be bigger than what they are currently say they are gonna give out. it'd be easier for namco arcades to host tournaments nation wide but keep them local, i think there would be a lot more info if it was a national tournament plus most tournaments you needa pay to go there, like fighting games.

If this is a national tournament, then why would you give such half assed information? How about the time it starts? Or maybe where Maplewood / Burnsville mall are (i have no clue of even what state these are in) Is there a fee to get in? And can spectators come? Is there a prize for winning?

Info.

Re: vER.3 NATIONAL TOURNMENT

tournament will be held on october 16&17 23&24, guess it varies arcade to arcade.

$7500 in prizes, including a gamecube or an ipod mini.

6 bucks to enter
you may use your card but guess what? you cannot change between races. although, you MAY register more than one car.
last matches are raced with the same car, manager gets to choose (which sucks)
matches are based off a qualifying time so its more even (i think manager gets to choose the stage, not sure on this though. also i think its a done with a stock car for this.)
the person with the highest qualifying time does get to choose the stage but on the downside the opponent gets to choose the condition.
myogi is banned (i think)
i don't know if boost is on but i'm guessing so since shomaru is a choice

you have to have at least 16 players for your arcade to qualify for the national prizes and 32 players to qualify for the good national prizes.

i'm sure there is more info but this is all i got so far.

Re: vER.3 NATIONAL TOURNMENT

in life drifting is all about showing off.
in initial-d its about getting a lower time.
in life there are MORE risks involved.
in initial-d you put no one in danger and its still fun.

Re: vER.3 NATIONAL TOURNMENT

no.. i don't like the way its formatted. if it was a battle tournament i would. leave it to namco to make a national tournament with the stupidest rules possible.
