well my MX-3 is out of commission till next week at best... (that's when its being taken to a garage... from what I can tell my oil pump went out for no apprent reason.. and no check engine light came on nor oil light came on... my car has got some issues.. anyways I might have bent a rod or who knows what.... it's sounded really bad when I last ran it (wednesday).. when I was driving it that night going on the Hightway (onramp) it started sounding really bad! so I got back off, and it sounded like a banging valve but worse... alot worse.. dont' know if the engine is gone or what all damage is done... I want the swap (KL-ZE,... easier to get parents get money to do it over the KF-ZE) but my rents don't want to do a swap at all! so I'm busy driving my dad's truck (98 Ford F-150) no I dont' like it.. I miss my MX-3 like a drunk misses alchohol. but ya... it's really pissin me off! anywho... if my rents will not fix it (cauz I don't have the $$ to do it) then I'll have parts for my car left over... then going to sell what I can off of it... or that's what I'm probably going to do... anyways... that's about it.. has anyone else heard of this kind of problem before? or am I a first?

well...i wish my engine would blow out. Cause then I could swap in the KLZE. But I can't cause my parents wont let me until this engine wont run any more...so I'm terrorizing the crap out of this one!

I don't think it's blown cauz it runs fine (if that's what you want to call it) just somethin has goin bad on it... maybe head gasket or somethin.. no idea thou

found out what the problem is.. the Crankshaft bearings are shot.... anyone know what kinda of Cash I might get for it? parted out or anything? it only has 118K miles, everything on the car is nicely done, plus the parts in my signature.. had a guy going to give me around $1,500 USD for it. but how much do you'll think it's worth?

how much will you sell just the intake and/or short shifter for? or do i have to buy the whole car?


I'm sure you could get at least 2000$ for the whole car...but, I've never seen it, so I don't know exactly. With older cars, appearance counts for alot!

I live in North Carolina... if the pending buyer doens't buy the car as is for $1500... I'll sell the Intake for $90USD + whatever shiping is.. the catback I'll sell for $150USD + shipping. buyer pays shipping. I've only had the catback for 2 months and the intake was only on the car for a month at most. also the intake includes the heatshield. there are 2 scuffs on the heatshield. but that's it..

is the intake pretty nice? if it is you can hold it from me. I need to talk to my dad about buying it. They wont put my name on my bank account cause they say i'd spend too much money. So everything I buy I have to run by my parents first. I know it's really gay...but I'll see if I can convince my dad to let me buy it.


as far as the price...it goes for 80$ on the weapon r website. so how low will you go?

it looks like the car's going to be sold in one piece... it'll sell easier, the whole car I'm selling for 1,500... 1K under Kellyblue book for it. anywho. I got a potential buyer. so ya. anywho. sorry I haven't responeded in a while.. my phone line has been skrewie.. so ya. my next car I can't mod the engine/performance at all.. I can only do visual stuff... my parents are putting me on a 4-5 year probation on engine modding. but it looks like I might get a 04 Honda Civic, and there are oddles of visual mods for them.. probably going to put vertical doors on it first... but ya. that's the whole car situation. also what went wrong it seems the oil blew out the exhaust, cauz of a bad piston ring(s) then becasue of the lack of oil it messed up a rod bearing. so ya. my parents just want something to last me. they said no to a new engine. oh well.

that's a bummer you're going to be switching to honda. You could always get another MX3.

well it looks more like a toss up between a 240SX S14, if I can find one, or more than likely a Subaru IMpressa, or Legacy, or a Honda civic.. no idea thou.. but ya it sux that I have to get rid of the MX-3, but ya oh well laters

I'd go with the impreZZa if I were you.. way cooler. Definately not a Civic if you car afford an Imprazza or a 240.. PLEASE! :P
