First off dont EVER put grease on the pads or shoes. I haven't done the brakes on my 92 yet but if the pads come with the thin metal shims you will need to put a little grease on them. They make a tool to compress the piston for the front brakes, just be sure to remove the cap on the brake fluid res. and check to make sure it does not spill out when you do compress the piston. Make sure that you check the back brakes to see if they really do need to be replaced. Most times they will last a lond time. The fronts will most likely need just a couple of bolts removed to drop the pads out. Remove the whole caliper and they should fall out.

It is probably a 12 or 14 millimeter bolt ( 2 of them ) that hold the caliper on. When you remove the bolts just lift the whole caliper up and you should then see how to take the shoes out. There is usually some type of keeper spring that holds them in place. Like I said I have yet to replace the brakes on mine yet but this is how most shoes come off. I don't know if the rotors "float" on the axle but be careful that they do not fall off when you remove the caliper. That could hurt. Don't worry about removing the brake lines when you do this, just let it hang down but be careful not to pinch the brake line. With the low mileage you have on the car the back brakes are most likely still good.
