I am the Newbie =)

Hey everyone, I'm the girl with a 2002 silver gs mitsu who wishes she had the 2005 gts...but just having a mitsu works great for me!

So here's the deal, I am looking to find every way possibly to modify my 2.4L I4 to make it fast and maybe a little beefy. I plan to add a body kit, get a paint job, and add some nice shiny chrome rims in the near future but first I'd like to work on what's under the hood. Unfortunately, I really don't know much about under the hood...so I joined to get help from my fellow mitsu's! I love you all!

Steffanie

Re: I am the Newbie =)

Welcome to AF i can see the way you wanna mod your car maybe consider a "RICE" car with the crome wheels and the body kit with no performence is well consider a "Rice ROcket"

but im glad to hear thoe that you want to mod the engine and i hope we can help here

and Welcome to AF

How fast do you want to go? What kind of money do you want to spend? I had a 01 GS. Turbo kit is the only way to make serious power with the 2.4L NA

Re: I am the Newbie =)

unless you wanna rip apart and rebuild your engine and a lot of other mods i dont think your gonna get anyone lower than 15's on the quater mile without a turbo. Even getting 15's would cost alot of money>

edit: best first upgrade is a cold air intake i got pics in my post on this forum of mine i just installed today. You can buy one off of ebay for asl low is $30. Then if you still want to keep it none turbo think about putting new headers and catback and NOS will get you some gains.

First off welcome to AF, you will definitely love it here (and im sure everyone will love you ). By what you said in your post, it looks like you want to "rice" (looks) up your car and also throw in a few mods. Its good to see that you are interested and exited about your car, hopefully we can help you achieve the most as far as performance. Remeber to read through the FAQ's and the stickeys at the top before asking questions. I think the FAQ will be very useful and will prob answer 75% of your questions.

Again welcome to AF and good luck !
