Guys help!! Shocks/struts!

Ok, I'm replacing the Shocks/Struts in my '95 GT. I notice these little damper shocks above the struts and I need to replace these also. Where can I buy these things? I've been looking all over the place and nobody carries them!

are you talking about the quad shocks attatched to the rear axle, right behind the top of each rear tire? there's really no need for those... but if you really do need them they can be had at www.50resto.com.

Actually unless you've changed gears, you'll notice a good amount of wheel hop under full throttle w/o them. I had a hell of a time trying to find them myself. I know steeda carries some for a decent price.

NOOOOOOO, even with gears the quad shocks will help. They are there to dampen the twist of the axle that creates wheel hop. This happens when torque is applied though the stock rubber bushings and flimsy stock control arms. Gears will multiply this and can even make the axle hop worse.

Really the quad shocks can be removed if after-market control arms and installed with better bushings. This comes from first hand experience. I had major wheel hop when I installed my 3.73 rear over the 2.73 rear. Once I replaced the control arms, the wheel hop was just about non existent.

t5hat is when you take off from a stop and instead of the tires staying firmly on the ground they will bounce or "hop"

I believe that's what it does.

Anyway, are quad shocks from a 93 compatible with a 95? Thanks.

Guys, does somebody know if the Quad Shock Dampers from a '93 Mustang are compatible with a '95 Mustang? Someone is selling me a pair cheap, and they look exactly the same, but before I buy them I'd like to know so I don't end up with useless shocks.

Thanks.

if it smells like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck =P

i'm not sure if that's a chance i'd take, but if they look identical i'd say go for it and see if they work...
