Angry Rear lighting problems

Hey everyone. I have a 97 1500. The taillights do not work, and the brakelights also do not work when the headlamp switch is on. Brakelights do work properly when in daytime running mode. Also, my rear turn signals work, but the off side lamps will dimly flash(right side flash dimly when left turn selected) as well as the selected lamps. They will flash at normal speed until I press the brakes and then will flash quickly. I have checked and replaced all the bulbs. I am open to suggestions. Thanks

I'm also having this problem on my 93 GMC Sierra, the ground at the battery is good, and tests good at the tail light connection at the back.....not trying to jack this thread, but what are other possibilities???
