Re: question

according to the manual, "tour" restricts some of the exhaust, where "sport" let's the full exhaust come out.

Re: question

The button you first referred to is the active exhaust button, if you look under your car you will notice that the exhaust goes through the driver side muffler and then is routed back out through to the passenger side muffler. In earlier vr4s(and I think some SLs) you could flip a switch and designate if that exhaust was rerouted or not. I think the benefits were minimal, but as it is not on my car, I am not positive on that.

The ECS button is electronically controlled suspension. Once again, I have a 96 vr4, so this was not on my car either, but you could switch between 2 modes of suspension, the sport mode being tighter for racing and higher speeds.

Its ALWAYS on if you have it, it just adjusts the tension of the springs, Sport = stiffer / Tour = less stiff, when you start the car its automatically on Tour, and you can switch it to Sport...if you dont have an indicator in the dash gauges then you might not have it, the LED light is always on and says either Sport or Tour.

yea, my 94 vr-4 has both the switches, for the exhust, i dont hear/feel any difference, now the ecs, u feel the stiff difference, and its supposted to give u better handing when going around coners. On the left hand side of my gauge cluster, there is a light that says tour/sport thats always on depending on ur setting. in the midde there is a little picture of an exhust pipe, that stays off if ur on sport, but turns on and says "tour" when you on said setting.

When my on ECS thing is on sport, it gets annoying going over TINY bumps because you feel it big time.
