No power
Lately I've been having some difficulties with my '02 Elantra GLS. I'm about to take it into the dealership but that requires me having to take a day off work.
Sometimes when I pull out of a parking stall and go to pull off the car hesitates for about 5 seconds before it'll accelerate. Any ideas why the hesitation? Thanks. |

On Hyundais' Webtech site, there is a TSB for the harsh or delayed park-reverse engagement. It might be what you are experiencing. The tech guys should be able to see if your problem falls under one of the following TSBs.
TSB 02-40-008 Automatic Transaxle Harsh or Delayed Park-Reverse or Park-Drive engagement. TSB 02-40-019 Automatic Transaxle Harsh and or Delayed Shifts TSB 03-40-015 Automatic Transaxle 2-3 Shift Flare or Shift Shudder Hope it helps. TS out
