Muffler fart --> exhaust replacement

My mufflers fart. My car is a 92 GP SE w/3.4L DOHC.

Any suggestions for aftermarket exhaust components, mufflers, tips?

I like the way the mufflers sound, minus the fart. Actually I think its only the left one, but I'm going to replace both. A little deeper sound would be cool. I've heard Borla is good. Anyone know part numbers, etc?

Re: Muffler fart --> exhaust replacement

Now are you sure it sounds like a fart?
OK, I want you to get out of your car and run around the back. Now look on the trunk. Does it say MUSTANG on the trunk? Keep the mufflers. Get rid of the car.
You have one pipe coming back. That pipe "Y" off to both mufflers. Sounds like a bad muffler. Good luck

I know its one pipe comin back. I'm not retarded. I just want to replace both mufflers, but not with stock. What does any of this have to do with a mustang?

I thought these forums were about helping people...

Re: Muffler fart --> exhaust replacement

OK, we will start over.
If the farting noise is only coming from one side (seeing that it has one pipe into a "Y") sounds like it would be the muffler on the side that is making that noise.
This forum helps a lot of people. Sometime it's nice to have some fun also. We also like to pick on Mustangs. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
Good luck with the noise.
