Remote "panic" button

Does anyone know how to easily disconnect the "panic" horn sounder? I have set this off a dozen times in the two months I have owned this truck. I used to make fun of my father and his Fords which always had those dumb buttons (and he always set them off too). Now GM has them. YUCK. They're stupid. I'm sure I could open the remote and tear something up so the button won't work, but I would like a simple way to disengage it on the vehicle.

Re: Remote "panic" button

I have the same problem. I have set the horn off at least twice a week since I purchased my Tahoe. Usually it's at 6 am when I leaving for the office. I thought about shaving the button so it is well below the surrounding surface but I haven't done it yet. I'll watch the thread to see if anyone has a better idea.
