Which Generation?

Hey guys, i currently have a 94 RS 2.2. Im looking for something newer, like a 99 z24, what do you think?. I plan on to use it for racing around town and at the track, Bascially a car where i can rip up teh roads but also something to use to travel back and forth to diffrent place
And also has TONS of upgrades and options

Re: Which Generation?

Id go with a 2000+ Z24. You can find these with about 30-40k miles on them for 8000-9000. They are the best engine ever put in the cavalier. 150HP and 155lbs TQ. GM makes a supercharger that will ONLY WORK ON 2000 AND UP Z24's. This will give you 190HP and a mid to high 14 second 1/4mile with no other mods. Im planning i buying one by the end of this month, just as soon as i get all my refunds from cancelled other online orders.

Re: Which Generation?

Jayson has a point there, But if you find a 99 or below Z you can still turbo it, but if you cannot afford the turbo, yes the supercharger is a little less expensive, get the 00 and up.... Its all up to you dude.
