Any one here using HAYNES book to repair car ?

Hi , im thinking to buy one of haynes book to repair my car , like change all the filter in the car , and change my head gasket valve cover , my car had some leek out of my engine , by the way can any one find me the link that direct to buy the book to repair all the problem and help maintain the car , thanks , by the way i got eclipse 97 rs ^_^ , thanks

killer go to your local reibies/shucks/kregan/autozone they will have one tehre. They are very helpful and ive awalys grabbed a haynes manual for my cars

yup having a haynes manual will come in handy many times over.. iv had one for every car except this eclipse.. and iv been meaning to get one.. but so far between vfaq and message boards iv figured out what i needed...

just read this post and when out go to autozone and got 1 for 16.88 ( they almost close ) ,title

I personally like chiltons better... found they describe stuff a little better... to each their own I guess... if ya wanna get a better book than those.. go to dealership and spend like $200 for their manual/manuals...2 books... I got one with the car... super great but less pictures.

Chiltons has worked for me. Their diagrams are pretty good to get you to understand what goes where etc...

i have both, chiltons and haynes for the 1st gen and 2nd gen, got them for free so i couldnt argue!

Chiltons or Haynes are great for easy stuff...I have the Haynes personally. Nothing beats vfaq.com, though. Geez, I scare myself everyday thinking about what would happen if someone decided to stop hosting that site :shudder:

I got Chiltons. But whenever it explains how to do anything it tells you to do other stuff that it doesn't explain how to do. Does Haynes do that too? I like how it tells all the torque #s though.
