What happens when you die?
Well all the people who where clinicly dead say they see a really bright light. Thats explained, because when your brain does not get blood you see bright light. So that possible answer is out of the way.
Now what do you think happens when you are really dead?

Since the beginning of my life..i'm 23, i've been asking that question. It has to be bliss.
Some say, when your dead, it's like before you where in your mothers stomach..did you remember anything..?? -That i think is bs. I BELIEVE you feel and witness and experiance "heaven".. I am definetly not deeply into religion, but i've always had faith in god and i KNOW that heaven exists..

as much fun as it is to wonder, it doesnt matter to me at all what happens when my body dies. i know my vital functions cease, my limbs will go stiff with rigormortous(sp?) and i will begin to decay.
my mind, on the other hand, the one part of me that has no biological clock, well...im not sure what happens there. im fairly certain its not any sort of release, since we would need a physical body to feel what we call relief. all that really matters, is whether or not i live.

When you die, you die. That's it. There's nothing else for your body.
The question most people ask is what's beyond that, what happens to my 'soul'? Heaven or hell is the answer to that one.

BTW, thats exactly it.. Soul, maybe we leave our body as just a "soul". And wander earth-or maybe have the option of going to heaven. Yeah it would be fun to wander earth as a soul, but would become boring.. So i'll choose heaven :-)
PS.. Didn't someone do a study on the fact that when your clinically dead, you wegh less-because the soul leaving the body??

What happens when death comes there are different explinations. I see it as "your body quits working" and then *poof* six feet under and people are crying. Heaven or Hell is where the soul goes afterward.

Nobody knows if the sould has mass or not, the physical conclusion that lazysmurff made is accurate in that effect. But God has so many miracles that the physical mass of your soul could be there and then gone without us ever knowing it for sure or not.
We're not supposed to know the answer to that one though.

I think the body weights less because there is no oxygen, you don't breath and oxygen weight some thing. And I think when ppl die their soul (which is energy) goes into space and eventually is somewhere with other souls ( i did not make that up, it's old indian philosophy)

well, physicists are woking quite hard on this. its called the GUT- grand unified theory. the people in the phisics field say once this is figured out, their work will be done. it is thought that there are 11 dimensions, that is called the string theory. when this is figured out, we will know exactly what is out there. we are closer to figuring this out than you could even fathom as well.
