Re: C Pillar Install Help

cant you just get a bolt long enough and mount it through the side of the car, the frame of crx couoldnt have changed that much, rip off the plastic around the area and see if there is a place to mount the bar too, then just cut a hole in the plastic so you can slide it through.

Re: C Pillar Install Help

i know what your sayin - the plastic moldings where the seat belts go on the side go all the way down to the windshield in the front... 90 - 91 have them -where the seat belt goes up the door from on the bottom an click into the latch an then go up to the side of the car behind the seat. But the ones you have only go half way up from the windshield an will obviously leave you with out molding on the back half where the belt bolts into the side of the car on the top.... i would take both piece an line them up pencil a make alittle extra than what needs to be cut then take a utility knife an skim had the end so it slide under the new pillar pod you want to install - then tech. screw the mold into the metal when you have it in the correct position...

Good Luck
Hope That Helps =)

Re: C Pillar Install Help

are trying to install a C-pillar bar? in a CRX?

ok, first off, the place where people put pillar mounted gauges is the A-pillar. the pillar between the door and back half of the car is the B-pillar. and the pillar between the rear side windows and hatch is the C-pillar.

on the civic hatch, its a simple install for the C-pillar bar. just take the rear seatbelts off, and bolt the bar to the those mounting points.

for the CRX its potentially more difficult. i havent ever checked behind the panelling for bolt holes, but i know that some of the JDM CRXs had rear seats in them, so possibly the bolt holes for rear seatbelts exist.

look behind the rear window panelling for bolt holes. if you are trying to install a C-pillar bar on the B-pillar, it may not be long enough, and i know for certain that my 90 hatch didnt have threaded bolt holes on the pillar, because the seatbelts were on the door.
