A/C pressure on the low end.

What is a normal pressure one the low pressure should be 65?
2000 C3500 5.7.

The a/c went out.
I found the problem was the low pressure switch.

Here what is weird.. The temp was 95 outside and in the cab was 113. I took a reading of my low pressure line and it was 140 psi, when the a/c was not running. I did not do a reading when the a/c was not running. The guy at the chevy dealers said that I should not worry that if there was go much pressure the compressor would blow some of it out.

Is that high. I normally own/work on older trucks and newer ones I guess are different.

I put some pipe insulation all over the lines expect the high end and now my temp driving around in 95 degree weather is hitting 47.4 coming out of the vent.

Should I worry about the low end pressure being that high when the A/C is not on?

No need to worry. When you turn your a/c off your low and high sides should equalize. If your pressure on the low side was that far off it wouldnt cool anyway and it doesnt seem like you have that problem if its putting out 47.
