torque arms...

really are you 100% sure? i thought its like near both rear wheelsso you need 2?or where is the spot you would put that torque arms

i believe you are thinking of control arms. you have two rear control arms that attach the frame to the axle on each side. you only have one torque arm that mounts on the front of the axle, by the pinion and runs up along the driveshaft and anchors to the transmission mount...

not hard at all. i dont know exactly how the eighter cars are, but the most difficult parts are getting the old one out of the bushing on the transmission mount (a good hammer should do the trick) and getting your pinion angle right so that the arm will slide on. i pulled my torque arm in about 30 min when i was swapping my axle...

but dude, for the price you are paying there you can get an adjustable torque arm from BMR fabrication...

you support the back half on jackstands. if you have an impact wrench it will help you to get the nuts off the bolts that hold the arm on. use a screw driver to pry the torque arm off the axle. you might have to drop the trans mount, i dont know about the eighter cars. use a floor jack under the axle to lift it up to get the pinion angle right, slide the new arm back on and bolt her in...

another question, what are some non expensive type upgrades like that that could increase handling like sway bars(i think) or suspension?

www.spohn.net makes great stuff for fbodys he has an adjustable torque arm thats pretty slick.
