Question How Do you Clean an Engine..Exerior??

I know the best way would probably be some brake cleaner and a toothbrush (just watch the hoses) but is there an easier way?? Ain't there places that specialize in this?? Can i just get a strong PSI water hose and spray her down?? What soap?? If any.. My friend says to just leave it, cause if you get water in somewhere your f*****. But then again, everything is SEALED. So the nothing would get in. I know dealerships and used car lots clean engines like this..

Just get some engine cleaner from Checkers or any parts store. Spray it all over the engine. Let it a few minutes and then just hose it off.

I used the Gunk brand engine degreaser and it worked very well.

Just make sure your engine is cold before you do all that.
