32.1" tire height on stock 4x4
Hi Folks,
I'm considering the purchase of 255/70/18's for my truck. I'm currently running 265/60's and the inner sidewall is dangerously close to rubbing against the suspension up front. Any issues with running 32.1" tall tires on an Extracab 4x4 with stock suspension? I'm not really interested in lifting the truck, but at the same time there aren't many other 18" tire options out there, at least in the 245-255mm treadwidth range. Thanks in advance. Take care, Jerry

Re: 32.1" tire height on stock 4x4
Huh? 33" (well almost) on a stock setup, haven't seen that really. You can get a low body to keep from rubbing for like $250, not a bad investment. I think that size tire is gonna rub unless you cut something. or lift the truck.

That will rub. Like lifetrddeath said - lift or cut.

Re: 32.1" tire height on stock 4x4
Thanks fellas. I thought I might be on the edge there. A couple of sources guess that 32's will rub, and a few other (including customtacos.com) implies they shouldn't. I'm on the fence, and may just stick with what I've got.
Take care, Jerry

Re: 32.1" tire height on stock 4x4
also depends on the tire....but for the most part, they'll probably rub...
