Question Greddy Type S BOV install

I just received my Greddy Type S BOV in the mail. I was going to install it but ive heard that it wont fit directly into the place of the stock BOV without an adapter. I bought it used and it didnt come with an adapter. Do i need an adapter or can i just replace it with the stock one. I found a few install guides on the net, but if anyone knows a good one let me know.

Thanks

Re: Greddy Type S BOV install

u will need a 2G GReddy flange mounted on an IC pipe...while your at it, just get an upper IC pipe with a ready made flange for your type 's'. check out a dejontool pipe or something. there are lots on the market and arent very expensive.

Re: Greddy Type S BOV install

You can get an UICP flanged for either a Greddy Type S or a 1g bov. If you get the 1g bov one, you'll need to drill alternate holes for the Type S to fit (1g bov holes are wider), so there's really no reason not to get one flanged for the Type S .

Re: Greddy Type S BOV install

Option 1 is buying the GReddy adapter, option 2 is buying an intercooler pipe already flanged for GReddy. I'd get the pipe. The pipe is around $100 and is a good buy. Personally I wouldn't put a new BOV on the stock piece of crap plastic pipe.

I havent really bought one yet, but this guy replied to my e-mail saying he had both (upper and lower) IC pipes w/ the flange. He was asking 150 gonna prob take it down to 120. Do you have both pipes or just upper? Let me know.

Thanks
