new cd deck in 88iroc

Im trying to install a new cd deck in my 88 iroc camaro. Never done this b4, not sure how to get started. It doesnt rely look like its gona fit that well.

Is it too expencive to get it installed professionaly?

you need an adaptor kit, check out crutchfeild or best buy or something along those lines. not hard, if you can solder wires and read schematics, and turn screws, you can install a head unit.

Hu's are really easy to install.. especially if there is an aftermarket deck in the car already..

What you will need is an installation kit (black trim that goes around the cd player to fill the space)

if there is already an aftermarket deck in, you shouldnt need anything and it'l be as easy as removing one harness, and soldering another one on

yea, it's a really simple process, just don't half ass it. I've changed units in mine so many time I could do it with my eyes closed now.

yeah.. from start to finish can do one in about 15 minutes.. lol ive had 4 camaros and have probably had 3 different stereos in each.. ive also done stereos in my gf's 97 camaro, both of my brothers camaros
