Question engine died but then fired up again

hi went on the highway for about 20miles and when getting off of off ramp it seemed to jerk real hard and then died.waited about 10 or 15 min it started back up again went down the road for 2 miles did the same thing but it started after only couple of mins this time,did get to where we were going but died again pulling up in front of house.it started up fine when we came out and didnt do it again all the way home.so now i'm in a quandry any ideas on this one.

check you fuel pump and fuel filter could be trash in both

Also (they are going to say something to me about this) check the throttle position sensor. Well, you can't really check it, just consider it.

yeah the tps could have something to do with it. same symptoms my car had when the tps went out.

Sounds like bad gas almost. Or a clogging cat. I drove my truck to the exhaust shop with the back tires squealing on the pavement because the truck was jerking so hard.

should be under the truck by the driver door about half way down
