Fun Death - 93 Integra vs. 97 Supra TT

Well, my car is bone stock, but one of my friends came down from UW this weekend, and so did three of his frat brothers. All of them were incredibly rich, but one of them had a 1997 twin turbo Supra. They said it was the most fun they've ever had driving 3 hours from one place. Said he was going to sell it for around $67,000...considering he has put $90K+ into it, and it is pushin a little over 700 at the wheels.

Well, they came over to my house, and we were just chillin, but I've never even seen one in real life, and wanted to see how it actually handled. So we head down to an old school road, and he gave me a few spins in it. Needless to say...I was in my seat the whole damn time.

Anyway, as I get ready to go home, I ask him, "are you ready for a real challenge?" He laughs and said he hadn't put the boost past 20 psi yet in it, and just wanted to try it out. So I asked him if he wanted to waste gas on me. He says sure. So, I line up next to him (we're starting from a dead stop) and press the horn 3 times. Well...I think he must've put at least a quarter mile on me in a matter of seconds, because I could barely see his tailights by the time I hit 40.

Heh...pretty fun, but he didn't let me drive it.

Cliff notes :
Frat friends come down from UW
One owns $65,000+ Supra w/ 700 ponies
Gives me a few spins
I cry as he blows me away

Cool loss. I lost to a Supra TT at the track with my former Z28 on nitrous. The dude wasn't the greatest driver, but his car was freaking fast. Those cars are beasts from a roll. I know my Evo's role as far as roll races against supras are concerned. Of course from stoplight to stoplight is a different story

90k. And he is only putting 700 fuckin horsepower to the fuckin wheels!
I know there are people out there who have spent maybe 1/3 even if 1/3 of that and are putting close to 900 and some cases 1000 He must have wasted all his money on some HRe's or something.
God Damn

Nice death though, should gave him a pit manuvre that woulda be funny.

I wonder if a lot of that was spent on cosmetic crap?

Nice death, I would love to own a Supra one of these days and turn it into a nice drag car.

Hah, you guys won't believe this crap either...so I'm driving home from work today over the 205 bridge (connects Oregon and Washington near Vancouver-Portland) and this Ferrari F50 flies by me. Not even joking. 5-6 people honked their horns, but it did no good. He must've been doin at least 150....

For those of you that go to Pacific Speedways in Kent, the guy with the Supra (Paul) should be racing for Mitch Cunningham's "Street Team" in a couple weeks. Don't know if they have closed the "summer drags" like they did at PIR down here, but he said he will be up in that area near the end of the month. (Just thought I'd give a few of you a heads up.)
