95 manual trany fo a 91 golf gaz motor's trany

I know its stupid but I have searched for it but didnt find it.. my transmision's rear gear is blown up and I can get a transmision from a 91 golf gaz motor ( i dont know what motor it is) I got a 95 jeta Diesel so ..... can some buddy help my plz thx

or what trany would fit in it

I'm pretty sure it will physically work, but they will have different ratios. It will affect things like top speed and fuel mileage. Get the three letter code off each unit & you can comparethem at this site that you can use to figure how it will affect the performance.
