I'm new I need help on battery question?

I have a 2100Mah ni-cd battery for my r/c. I also have a 17t double motor and I have a quick charger the ones that you can turn the nob to charge for 15min. and trickle. What I want to know is that how long do I have to charge the my battery with this charger to get a maximum capacity out of the battery. I read somewhere in this forum that the 15min chargers are not good. Can someone tell me exactally how to go about this.

Charge it with a trickle charger then peak it with a peak charger.

Speed chargers are fine..they just shorten the life a little bit.
