how can I get rid of "coolant sensor bad" error?
Hi there..
I have a 94 GC 5.2 V8.. After driving on a couple of bumps and holes.. I get a message "coolant sensor bad" and on the next a couple of bumps it goes off... and then goes on again.... I checked the coolant sensor. It looks OK (the one inside the coolant bottle I guess I checked the right thing )....What may be the problem any opinions? Thanks Cenk |

We just purchased a 96 JGC and had this exact problem occur. Our local Auto Zone had the sensor and it was only $9. Pretty cheap fix rather than just wondering. Looks like you have to drain some of the coolant in order to replace it however. Refer to a Haynes Repair Manual to see where it's located on your vehicle.
Good Luck! |

yellow, I have the same jeep, the sensor is located on the top of the bottle. just twist and pull to get it out. it is prolly shorting out. I would just replace it since it's so cheap, and then go from there.
