I have an 88 dodge duelly auto trans. I have checked all parts I can think of and the darn thing keeps shattering the flex plate [flywheel]
what can be doing it. please help |

check the end-play on the crank-shaft,,,,,possible wrong torque converter,,,,,wrong weights on converter!!!!!!

Also check the alignment of the engine, bell housing and trans. There's a tolerance for your truck that, if exceeded, will break things. My brother's manual trans 2500 cracked 2 transmission housings before he found the offset, which was 9 thousandths instead of the maximum 3 thousandths.
