Exclamation Venom Performance module 400?

Ive heard a lot of different things about these, and the amount of HP that they say they gain is a little far fetched sounding. How do these things work, and do they actually work.

Re: Venom Performance module 400?

What exactly is it? Some sort of upgraded ECU?

Re: Venom Performance module 400?

some people say it works very well, some say it doesn't work at all, and some say it makes half throttle turn into full throttle to make people think that it makes it faster when all you have to do is go full throttle to get the same results

Re: Venom Performance module 400?

It fools the ECU into thinking anythin above 30% is WOT. i.e. CRAP!

Re: Venom Performance module 400?

Make, model, and induction are irrelevant. It is a "universal" module. Edit: Perhaps they aren't universal...in any case, the product description per Venom is the same for all Venom part #s. This alone should scare you out of spending the 300 bucks to see if you are the first person it will benefit.

I'd also be interested in seeing actual data on this performance "gain" rather than a magazine/mfr/retailer estimate.

FWIW, my experience with this POS is on a N/A 2g eclipse.

Re: Venom Performance module 400?

A few people on 2gnt have tried it on their cars (with turbo kit and without) both have said it does not work. I guess it is possible that it will work on other cars, dunno really.
