80W-90 gear oil for Manual Tranny?

i tried find more info on this in my cars manual, but i didnt say how many quarts and what kinda oil to use for my tranny. is 80w-90 what i need to use ? and how many quarts? since my shifter is off i can easily fill my tranny through the top hole.

how many quarts ?

what kinda oil? gear oil?

what year is your car? also i believe it would have stated in the back of the manual about the amount of tranny fluid. In the factory service manual, it states 5 1/8 US pints. Not sure what the gear oil type should be though. I'll look in my manual later...too lazy to go out to the car.

mines a 95, and i drained the oil when i was changing the clutch, i didnt get the trany rebuild, so i dont think its bone dried when you drain it from the bottom plug..

oil capacity for the 95 is 5 1/4 US pints.

I used 75w-90 Mobil 1. You can probably just fill it until some starts to come out of the side plug hole. Make sure it is on level ground.

that is how your supposed to full up manuals correctly....don't just guess and add the shit through your shifter.. and its a lot easier to fill it up the right way, only have to take out one plug lol.
