a K&N fipk and athe modle 77 intake kit. they both look like the same thing to me. do they do the same thing? is one better than the other? are they the same thing and im being obtuse?

i think this question was asked in a previous post...a noteable difference is the model 77 has the chrome intake tube as the fipk is molded plastic. there could be other differences???

yea, the only difference between the two is that the 77 series has a aluminum tube that comes in either grey or chrome. I was told to go with the plastic one because the plastic tube wouldent get as hot as the aluminum one and make the air passing through warmer, robbing you of a little hp. But i doubt that its a noticible difference. I think the 77 series is just to make it look a little better under the hood.
