'01 Jetta Water Leak, Cabin, Passenger Side
On my way out this afternoon, I noticed a considerable amout of water in the passender side, front and rear floors. There was a good rain storm earlier in the day and there was enough water that the floor mats were submerged.
I have searched this site and found several good suggestions. My question is, can I look at these myself? Or, should I take the car to the shop? 1. Winshield - Orig to the car, inspect seams 2. AC drain line - Not sure this would generate the volume of water that was in the wells (2+ gal) and the car was idle during the rain storm. 3. Ran shield - Check for clogs. 4. Sunroof drain lines - Had wind deflector installed a few years back. Is there anything else I should check? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The sunroof drains are the most problematic.

Sorry I didn't update. We trimmed the sunroof drains and I no longer back into the driveway (down hill). Per the dealer's suggestion, we cut the pinched ends off the sunroof drains with a razor. It hasn't happened again. Hope that helps!
