in the market for new heads

ya so i made up my mind last night to go ahead and start my rebuild *again* lol

anyway i was thinkin of buying some heads off this guy in long beach but i dont know hes asking like 5bills for some fully ported vortec 062
with guide plates not including roller rockers blah here

anyway i was wondering what your input is considering they selll them new at jegs for $259 i "think" they didnt list a casting number

anyways what are some other really nice heads (not aluminum cause i cant aford them) i mean id like to port them put in screw studs and guide plate and maybe 1.6 rockers but i think i can do some of the work myself i got taps and a drill press

bah i just need input basicly

need to make up my mind on a 383 or 350 too i got the block siting in the garage needs togoto the machine shop

lol well atm i plan on geting a early 70's camaro but right now i dont really have a car to put it in so thats kinda a plus toward the build cause i got money to spend sorta not really lmao

for the money, vortecs are the best iron heads you can get. i assume hes selling them 500 for the pair, keep in mind that jegs sells them for 256 EACH, so his ported vortecs are 12 bucks less than jegs. id say it sounds like a good deal.

how come the edelbrock heads for the lt1's are $500 each!?

also that little word edelbrock, they charge to put that on the heads the vortecs are cheap because they are a mass produced production vehicle iron truck head, no one thought they were gonna be performance heads, and if they had jacked up the price when they found out, they would get hit with price gouging.
