is it okay to spray duplicolor clear over tamiya decals?

If you used microsol to put them on, Yes. But spray VERY light coat's. If you spray too heavy you might melt them. If you didnt use microsol to put them on then it wont work.

Don't know for Tamiya but I ruined my Italeri decals with it even with sol, so I wouldn't recomande it at all.

is it a must to use dupli color primer with dupli color paint? its my first time painting with duplicolor.

yea, I've tried it with other primer and it "ate" through them, So be safe and use all dupli-color products.

I tried it once.. the film around the decal don't "desapear" and doesn't look great. but it didn't made any reaction. try it on a scrap part first

I used dupli-color clear on my Richie Ginther F1 car with no problems at all!, dupli-color will go over anything, just remember to mist the first coat on. Then take it from there, and apply as many coats as you want.
I use it on all of my models

If I could tack a 'rider' onto this thread... Does Dupli-color go over Tamiya Sprays or is it a big no-no? Dupli-color is so much cheaper and I've had success with it over automotive sprays.

Why do you have to use microsol? I'm just very curious about this...

Well with my experiance, spraying it over decal's without microsol on them the clear has ate the decals away. If i use microsol on it, it doesn't happen.

i've used dupli color on decals before. Works fine. Oh yeah, i've mixed paints before. IE i use Dupli Color Primer with Plasti-Kote and Tamiya paints. I've also used Krylon Primer with Duplicolor Paint.
