Punk @$$ in a Power Stroke F350!

I dont want anyone to think of this thread as a race but some punk ass in an F350 pissed me off like crazy tonight.
I was on my way to pick up my wife from work and stopped at a red light. A blue F350 pulled up next to me but I didnt even notice. then I hear he starts blasting the radio LOUD. dont mind him! he then rolls his window down and starts saying crap like "nice girl car man" I look at him and dude, this guy could not be any more of a looser. he was like 45, full of tattoos, gold rings on every single finger, a huge gold cross on his chest, wearing a yellow Hawaiian shirt showing off his white chest hair and about two gallons of gel on his balding ass head. I look at him and scream out "Diessels are slow you Miami Vice Reject, now behave or I'll confiscate your Viagra grandpa" the guy spits at my car and then blows his horn A TRAIN HORN! AAAAAHHHHHHH I hate those bloody air horns, light goes green and I take off moderately in first (night time traffic) the guy gains like a 1/2 car length on me. I shift into second, jump lanes to clear traffic and slam the gas, I pass him but I can hear his turbo spool up. top of second and I'm like 4 cars ahead and zig-zaging through traffic to loose him. he could not keep up with that freaking thing, not through traffic anyway. I dont consider this a race but are those power strokes fast? I wish he would of kept up too, spit on my car, I would of pissed on his gas tank!

They cant be that fast.. i mean come on.. there made for pulling trailers... also depends on the year.. i raced my dads 95 f350 dually before and i was maybe only 5-6 car lengths ahead of it at 65 mph.. and that was a gas.. but that reminds me of last week when i was drivin around... a guy in a jacked up ford was in the other lane.. it was one of the newer ones, red, and was a power stroke... and i could tell by all the smoke coming out of his exhaust that he had a power chip... also when he would hit the gas i could here the supercharger winding up .. but i didnt run him... im afraid i might have been embarrased ... bu i learned to drive in my dads truck and i would have to say my car is much faster

Haha, I've been tempted before by people like that. Wood arrows are cheep but tires and body paneling aint. More than one person has tried to get me to do a little "hit", never have because I know it's not cool to fuck with somones ride no matter what they're like..... plus the law and all.

yea... my friend with that mustang i raced a while back... he totaled it.. but he has a 200sx and he was drivin beside me today messin wit my wanting me to race him... but i just half floored it and jumped about 3 car lengths ahead of him at about 50... and it took him a few seconds to catch up... and i only hit the gas for a split second ... but other that than.. i dont hit the gas for any1 as well ..... 2nd engine

not to hate on u SLers or anything, but since were talking about stuff we dont like...
i cant stand when im driving along, just like on a highway, and i see people with sl's or base's, and they see my vr-4 badge, and pull up beside me, and look at me, and then fly by, like their trying to act all fast in there car, that they know cant hold a candle to a vr-4, but still try to seem faster. its not just other 3000's, it just makes me mad when people with slower cars get by me, and try to act like they have a fast car, its not like im showing off, im just driving minding my own business. its not like when i see a car faster than mine, i get next to it and fly by like my car is something its not.

DUDE they probly arent trying to be dicks, they probly just want you to floor it so they can see what they're missing. I do that sometimes when theres a viper or something driving, ill pull up next to it and see if i can get the guy to floor it. And when they do, it's well worth it...BTW trucks are all slow, HEMI / Vortex / Turbo Diesel / ETC. They have good strong engines, but they're made for torque and durability, not speed. Well except for that one w/ the viper engine in it, which IS fast. Everyone in they're brand new HEMI trucks and F350's always want to race me in my firebird, and I always blow them away, I can never get a sports car to go for it though, maybe once a year!!

Any1 in a viper is probably tired of people flying by them and trying to race them.. they prolly get that at least 10 times a day... but if i had a viper..i sure as hell wouldnt be tired of racing it

just and FYI, turbo deisels become very very fast very easily. Add a chip to one and you gain about 100hp and around 210-250 lb-ft of torque. Spray some n2o and propain and your looking at 400-500hp and 700-800 lb-ft of torque. And that power is readily avalible through 90% of the rpm's. Ive had them kick my ass before, even when I did a fully launch in my vr4, he just walked away from me like I walk away from most cars.

And I'm wish Lando and talskinyguy on this. Deisel trucks have tons of potential that you can unlock pretty easiely...when they are up in the 500-700 torque and hp ranges...then it comes down to the same argument everybody gives us about our cars...'yeah they are powerful but really heavy'...don't make the same mistake and underestimate them, like people do to us.

Well I just meant stock they arent fast, I know w/ a 20:1 compression ratio and a turbo anything can get fast quick, just not what they're made for and people who don't do anything to them try to race them b/c they see the commercial's of Hemi trucks racing and what not.

Have you guys ever seen the british comercial for the Mini Cooper. its a game show and there are three men standing naked with a small curtain covering their genetelia and all three are holding a cue-card. A woman who is the gameshow contestant goes up to the first man on opens the curtain and peaks at his package, she gigles and says "Porche 911" the guy flips the card and it says Porche 911, everyone claps! the she scopes out the second guys member, "OHHHH how cute, Ferrari " the guy flips the card and yup, he drives a ferrari. then the third guy, she opens the curtain and gasps in amazement, the whole croud also gasps and the show host faints, you hear someone in the audience yell out "blime". the women is stunned and cant say what he drives. he flips the cars and it says Mini Cooper. the comercial voice says "the new Mini Cooper, for those who have nothing to prove!"
I defenetly think that the guy in that truck last night was for sure compensating for something!
