98 Contour 2.5 swap

Any ideas on a 3.0 swap for the 2.5? Will computer, exhaust and other systems work?

Many people have done the swap including myself. Im running the stock ecu but its been completely reflashed from dyno tuning. You can run the stock ecu. If your car is a non svt, you will have to upgrade to 19 lb injectors. If you have an svt, just swap the the injectors that you have. A chip may be needed if you have the non svt. All exhaust components and intakes, 2.5L heads, cams, etc are swappable. Theres a couple misc. things that you will have to upgrade to 3.0L parts when doing the swap. Most people just swap the 3.0L with svt 2.5L heads and cams which raises the compression to 11.2:1 and usually puts down about 190 whp. If you can, run a full oval port 3.0L.
