1999 Camry CE

at low speeds my left front tire makes wimpering/creaking noise. i haven't had my tires balanced recently, so that could be a problem. just curious if anyone has ever ran into that problem or knows anything about that.
also as many of my fellow camry owners may already know, my left blinker when my lights are on, blinks double time. it is fine if you turn the lights off. factory defect, i'd imagine but i was wondering if there is any fix for this.
if any additional information is needed, just let me know.
thanks in advance,
michael

Re: 1999 Camry CE

I do believe that when a tire begins to creak it means that it's beginning the deterioration process. I have a GoodYear Integrity on our Camry that does the same thing...it's almost bald though, and it's been with the car since it's came from the dealer...The blinker goes like a psychopath on speed when it's about ready to blow a bulb. What you need to do is check through all of your outside bulbs to make sure that there isn't one blown, and they're all firmly into place in their sockets. If you need any further help, let me know. Best of luck.

thank you for your reply. i neglected to specify earlier that the front left tire only creaks when the brake is being depressed and when the car gets below ~10 mph. i will try what you said about my lights, thank you for mentioning that. also i'm sitting on goodyear wingfoot hps and they have very good tread left, if that is any help.

thanks again,
michael

Re: 1999 Camry CE

I'd have to say that you should check your drum brakes in the back...see what kind of shape they're in. That's about the only logical place I could think of that the creaking noise you're talking about could be coming from...but then again, I could be wrong. But it couldn't hurt to check your linings on those shoes.
