2000 Burb and abs/brake light staying on??
I have a 2000 4x4 suburban, and I can be driving around town, and all of a sudden the ABS and Brake light will come on and stay on until I turn the car off. Once I turn it back on it may or maynot do it again. It happens about 3 or 4 times a week, but have no idea why??? Any thoughts

Re: 2000 Burb and abs/brake light staying on??
Just wondering if you ever found out what the problem was. My 2000 4x4 suburban is doing something similiar. After getting stuck in the mud, the abs light is staying on even when I have turned the truck off and restarted it.

Abs Light
Just to ler you know I'm a weekend machanic, but i was having the same trouble with my 1996 sub. I had someone run a diognostic test on the brakes. They said it was possibly a bad ABS Sensor. There is a sensor on the front driver side wheel as well as one somewhere in the back. The one in the front is the master. A good idea would be to take it to Autozone or Advanced and ask them to run the computer on it. They do this for free and it's the same thing the dealer does and charges $80 for. Hope this helps some.

Re: Abs Light
I called AUTOZONE and they do not do the diagnostic scan for anything other than CHECK ENGINE light. They recommended dealer for Midas to test it.
